How to Kill Men and get Away with it
Book that feels like something I imagine girls would like to do - wearing mixed colour lipshade.
How to kill men and get away with it showcases feminine rage which I can totally get behind. The protagonist Kitty Collins an influencer who takes matters into her own hands when faced with harassment from men.
He was following me. That guy from the nightclub who wouldn’t leave me alone.
I hadn’t intended to kill him of course. But I wasn’t displeased when I did and, despite the mess I made, I appeared to get away with it.
That’s where my addiction started…
I’ve got a taste for revenge and quite frankly, I’m killing it.
The story unfolds right in the mid kill that keeps readers hooked from the very first page. The protagonist's journey is fueled by a deep-seated anger and frustration at the injustices she faces, making her actions both cathartic and unsettling.
At first I was sceptical that I would not like reading about rich, spoilt influencer but the more I read the dark humour and twists got me interested. Killy Collins face many relatable scenarios where the guy would just not leave you alone and hell bent on following you. It also has a twist where Kitty being a well known influencer has a stalker who keeps tabs on all her moves which makes the story complicated.
It is a very #meetoo era book. I like the character of killy Collins as it is whacky and a complete psycho with a hint of humor and fun. The things she does I am pretty sure every girl wants to do when faced with similar circumstances.
Overall, is a wild and wickedly entertaining ride. Equal parts thriller, comedy, and social commentary, it's a book that will leave readers laughing, cringing, and questioning their own assumptions. For those who enjoy their humor dark and their protagonists unhinged, this book is not to be missed.
The lipshade I chose for this book is Sugar pops Matt Maousse number 3 - Caramel Custard. The shade is not only similar to the book cover but also the storyline - rich and girly with the hint of dark undertones. It will look good on fair to medium skin colour and can be worn on nude as well as bright makeup.
